Studio Ten Ministries encourages a holistic approach to community development by providing our target communities access to a variety of programs.
Adult literacy education (1 of 4 Nepali women can’t read)
Basic health care education
Clean water and sanitation facilities (70% of Nepali families do not have access to a toilet)
Smokeless stoves (most villagers cook over an unvented, open fire inside their house)
Animal Husbandry training (the livelihood of most Nepalese families is in their livestock)
Agricultural training (most Nepalese sustain themselves on the crops they raise)
Medical and dental outreach clinics (there is a 1:25,000 doctor:patient ratio in Nepal)
Through community development the quality of life is improved for every member of the family. As the basic necessities of life are met and poverty is alleviated, a family is much less likely to jeopardize their children by putting them into vulnerable situations.
